Oleksandr Kuznetsov
Gaming core team lead
What I do at RubyPlay
As Team Lead of the Gaming Core team at Rubyplay, I oversee daily operations, ensuring timely, high-quality project delivery while aligning team efforts with broader business and product goals. I act as a communication bridge between leadership and engineering, helping to foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
I provide mentorship—especially to newcomers—guide professional growth, manage workloads, resolve conflicts, and offer regular performance feedback. I also collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Project, Art, Compliance, and other tech teams to ensure seamless delivery. Additionally, I lead technical discussions and maintain a balance between business priorities and the team’s technical roadmap to drive long-term scalability and innovation.
Why RubyPlay
If you’re interested in a role on my team, you’ll find an environment that’s fast-paced, collaborative, and focused on both personal and professional growth. I expect you'll be the person who takes initiative, contributes ideas, impacts architecture has constant internal technical discussions, and as a result, is responsible for the team decisions.
I as a lead will be hands-on when needed and always be here to support, mentor, and help you succeed. If you're the one who wants to work and grow in a very strong technical team within a vibrant and international company, this could be the right place for you.

Who am I?
With over ten years of overall experience in the industry, I had a chance to work in Netent, and then most of my time in Rubyplay, which was started as a pure startup and is now a big and fast-grown company.
I started my journey in iGaming in the role of game developer, later worked on different projects and occupied different roles (like front-end or framework developer) within Rubyplay, and last 3+ years I have worked as a team lead of the Core Gaming team.

Advice for prospective candidates
If you're starting in iGaming—or any dynamic tech-driven field—focus on mastering the fundamentals, but don’t rush the process. Depth often matters more than speed early on. Surround yourself with people who challenge you, not just those who agree with you. Learn how the business works, not just the technology, and you'll bring more value to any team. Most importantly, understand that resilience matters: setbacks are inevitable, but your ability to adapt and keep moving forward will define your long-term success.
